ABOUT US
Local Flora was founded in 2025 by two guys with a passion for plants who realized the stunning array of plants that are available and how it could conveniently accessed to our clients . Hoping to inspire more home gardeners.

After experiencing the high failure rates of plants through mail order websites, we knew a better delivery method is direct delivery from local wholesalers to your door.  We don't use a third vendor for delivery, so our team white glove delivers plants and kits to your door. 

We have locations in Huntington and Middle Island for central and eastern Long Island delivery. 

MICHAEL'S BIO
After over 20 years living and working in the Urban sprawl of New York City, Founder Michael Sawyer decided to go back to his "roots" and move to suburban Long Island. Once Settled in he quickly discovered his passion for Gardening. In 2021 Michael Fully Jumped into the Agriculture industry and discovered how big the array of beautiful  plant, tree, flower and shrub options That were available! The idea of Local Flora "bloomed"! 

JOHN'S BIO
John has been gardening since he was 11 both at home and in public spaces.  Shade gardens, succulents, deer resistant and plants native to Long Island are his specialty.  John's home garden has been a favorite stop on his local garden tour for over 10 years.
