Hydrangeas.

  • Most  prefer morning / eastern sun.  Since the afternoon sun is hotter, it can cause the plant to wilt especially if not near a sprinkler head.
  • The Flowers of the Endless Summer variety will turn blue or pink depending on the acidity of the soil.  you can adjust the alkalinity or acidity of the soil to achieve your desired color.
  • Hydrangeas are not deer resistant but if planed near a fence or house, the deer might be too skittish to approach.

Roses

  • Love sun and fertilizer
  • Best to prune in March

Azaleas

  • Easy to grow
  • Fertilize with holy tone
